Press Brake Operative

Job Title: Press Brake Operative Location: Bolton Salary: £19.22 per hour Working Hours: 37 hours per week (4-day week, Monday to Thursday) Shifts: Either 6:30am – 4:15pm or 7:00am – 4:45pm (to be confirmed at interview) About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operative to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a structured production environment, offering a competitive hourly rate and a 4-day working week. Key Responsibilities * Pressing (using Press Brake) of door components and related parts/assemblies in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel, and other materials as required. * Working to strict Inspection and Test Plans, under close supervision, when required. * Using overhead crane. * All work produced is to be capable of passing relevant inspection. * Unpacking of delivered material and repacking as required after pressing, including kitting. * Maintain the press brake work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. * Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret pressing requirements. * May be required to undertake and pass a security background check. * Ability to work to safe standard, and compliance with Company Health and Safety requirements. * Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post Key Objectives: * Pressing (using Press Brake) of components for doors and related products to Company Standards. * Minimisation of quality defects * Minimisation of H&S incidents/accidents * Continuous development of skills and experience * Achievement of time, quality and delivery targets About You * Proven experience operating a press brake * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Valid overhead crane certification * FLT (Forklift Truck) licence (desirable) * Strong attention to detail and quality standards * Good communication skills and the ability to follow processes * Experience in the use of Route Cards / Process Flow Trackers / Travellers/ MITP * Own transport is required Additional Information * You may be required to undergo a security background check * All work must be carried out in line with health and safety regulations If you’re a skilled Press Brake Operative looking for a stable role with a great work-life balance, we’d love to hear from you.
