Press Brake Operator
Role: Press Brake Operator Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester Rate per hour: £19.22 Hours/Shift: 37 hrs per week. 4 day week – Monday to Thursday 2 shifts either 6.30am to 4.15pm or 7am to 4.45pm Job Description: Operation of Press Brake, including material handling, setting machine to pre-determined parameters, packing of pressed parts, and kitting parts. Responsibilities & Duties: • Pressing (using Press Brake) of door components and related parts/assemblies in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel, and other materials as required. • Working to strict Inspection and Test Plans, under close supervision, when required. • Using overhead crane. • All work produced is to be capable of passing relevant inspection. • Unpacking of delivered material and repacking as required after pressing, including kitting. • Maintain the press brake work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret pressing requirements. • May be required to undertake and pass a security background check. • Ability to work to safe standard, and compliance with Company Health and Safety requirements. • Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post Key Objectives: • Pressing (using Press Brake) of components for doors and related products to Company Standards. • Minimisation of quality defects • Minimisation of H&S incidents/accidents • Continuous development of skills and experience • Achievement of time, quality and delivery targets Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills: • The successful candidate will demonstrate practical knowledge of Press Brake operation • Current certification for overhead crane use • Current FLT certification (desirable) • Own transport required • Effective communication skills and the ability to absorb large quantities of information • 5SPlus • Experience in the use of Route Cards / Process Flow Trackers / Travellers/MITP **You must have the full right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship but now, and in the future
