Press Brake Operator
PRESS BRAKE We are recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Machinist to work for our client who are located in Halifax, West Yorkshire. THE DUTIES OF A PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR: * Machine Setup: Programming and calibrating the CNC press brake, selecting and installing correct tooling (dies, punches). * Blueprint Reading: Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, angles, and dimensions. * Operation: Loading material, positioning it accurately, and running the machine to bend metal to specific angles and shapes. * Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts for defects, measuring dimensions, and ensuring they meet quality standards (using tools like callipers). * Monitoring & Adjustments: Observing the pressing process and making real-time adjustments to machine settings for precision. * Maintenance: Performing daily cleaning, lubricating parts, checking oil, and reporting issues to supervisors. * Safety: Adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: * Minimum 4 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background * Excellent communication skills THE HOURS: Monday - Thursday 7.30am – 4.40pm Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm. Option to work a 4 days week THE PAY: You will earn an hourly rate of up to £16 an hour depending on experience.
