Apply NowWe are seeking a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with sheet metal. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling components to meet precise specifications while ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
* Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal according to engineering drawings.
* Assemble components as per specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in the fabrication process.
* Grind and finish parts as necessary to achieve desired surface quality.
* Utilise hand tools effectively for various tasks, including assembly and adjustment of components.
* Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
* Familiarity with tooling and fabrication processes related to sheet metal work.
* Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
* Experience in welding is an advantage but not essential.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
