This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business manufacturing high-quality components for safety-critical industries. The successful candidate will have experience operating press machinery and carrying out small fabrication work within a manufacturing environment.
The Role
* Set up and operate press machinery to manufacture precision components.
* Carry out small fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Perform basic forming, bending and pressing operations.
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
* Use measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
* Complete production documentation accurately.
* Work closely with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing targets.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience operating press machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Experience with small fabrication, forming or sheet metal work.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Good understanding of quality standards and inspection techniques.
* Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Reliable, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
