Apply NowWe are seeking an experienced Press Toolmaker for a permanent role based in an established precision engineering company based close to central Birmingham.
This is a permanent job from the outset. Day shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manufacturing, maintaining and repairing press tools and tooling.
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out precision repairs.
* Technical support - support production teams with too changeovers and modification requests.
* Tool Trials: Assemble, test, and adjust new or repaired tools to ensure they produce parts to the required specification.
* Ensuring tooling meets quality and safety standards.
Candidate Specification
* Strong press toolmaker and progression tooling experience.
* Excellent knowledge of press tooling, maintenance and repair.
* Able to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.
* Proactively able to solve problems
