SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism (ARP Provision)
Location: Brixton, SW2
Pay: £545 per week
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Brixton (SW2) is opening a brand-new Autism Resource Provision (ARP) and is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join the team.
This role is ideal for experienced SEN TAs or graduates who are looking to gain valuable experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with autism within the school’s ARP
Working with a range of pupils from EYFS to Year 6
Providing 1:1 and small group support
Assisting with communication, emotional regulation, and learning engagement
Supporting pupils to access the curriculum in a structured and nurturing environment
Working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning spaceCandidate Requirements
Previous experience supporting children with SEN/ASC or a strong interest in SEN education
Graduates in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or related fields are encouraged to apply
Patient, caring, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
