SENCO - Primary School Location: Lewisham, South East London Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) Start: ASAP - Until Summer Term Contract: 4-5 days per week, term time only Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a supportive primary school in Lewisham on a short-term basis until the end of the summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to lead and manage SEND provision, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed. The Role As SENCO, you will: Lead and manage the school's SEND provision Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties Oversee and review EHCPs, IEPs and provision plans Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive teaching strategies Monitor pupil progress and ensure interventions are effective Support safeguarding and promote a fully inclusive school environment Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or working towards it Proven experience working as a SENCO within a primary school Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Experience managing EHCP processes and multi-agency working Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills This role can be offered on a 4 or 5 day per week basis, providing flexibility while still allowing you to make a meaningful impact.
