Primary SEND Teaching Assistant - SEMH Focus**

Aspire People are recruiting a **SEND Teaching Assistant** with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment for pupils who need additional pastoral and academic support.

**The Role:**
* Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom or small group sessions
* Assisting pupils in developing coping strategies and emotional regulation
* Supporting literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities
* Collaborating with class teachers and SENCO to implement behaviour strategies
* Recording observations and contributing to pupil support plans
* Supporting transitions, unstructured times, and group activities

**The Ideal Candidate:**
* Experience supporting SEMH pupils in primary settings
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
* Confident to work both independently and as part of a team
