Primary School Teacher - Axminster, Devon Location: Axminster, Devon Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential to go permanent) Pay: Paid to scale (M1-UPS, depending on experience) Start Date: 20th April 2026 Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join one of our supportive partner primary schools in the Axminster area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and motivate pupils within a friendly and community-focused school setting. The Role Teaching a Primary class (year group can be matched to experience and preference) Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons in line with the national curriculum Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment Assessing, tracking and supporting pupil progress Collaborating with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and events The Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Strong understanding of the primary curriculum Passion for teaching and supporting young learners Effective behaviour management and strong classroom presence Good communication skills and a collaborative approach Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer Paid to scale in line with experience Full support from a dedicated education consultant Free CPD, including safeguarding, behaviour and curriculum training A welcoming school with strong leadership and supportive staff Opportunities for long-term or permanent roles IND-Teach
