Primary School Teacher - Minehead, Somerset Location: Minehead Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential to go permanent) Pay: Paid to scale (M1-UPS, depending on experience) Start Date: 20th April 2026 Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary School Teacher to join one of our friendly partner primary schools in the Minehead area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire young learners within a supportive, community-driven environment. The Role Teaching a Primary class (specific year group can be matched to your strengths and experience) Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment Tracking pupil progress and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents Contributing to school life, including extracurricular activities and events The Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum A passion for teaching and inspiring young learners Good classroom management and the ability to build strong relationships Reliable, professional and adaptable Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer Paid to scale based on your experience Support from a dedicated consultant Free CPD including safeguarding, behaviour management and curriculum training A warm, supportive school with excellent leadership Opportunities for long-term or permanent positions IND-TEACH
