Principal Electronics Systems Engineer

Location: IOW. - Full relocation package provided.

I'm working with a client in the advanced engineering sector who is seeking a Principal Electronics Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing complex electronic systems and next-generation technologies.

This is a senior technical role where you'll provide leadership across the engineering lifecycle, helping to define system architectures, solve complex technical challenges, and support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. You'll work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines, ensuring designs are robust, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and support for complex electronic system development.

*

Define and manage requirements from component and board level through to full system integration.

*

Support engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle, from concept and development through to verification and delivery.

*

Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology selection.

*

Define test, integration, and validation strategies.

*

Support design assurance activities and help ensure systems meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements.

*

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and drive successful project outcomes.

What We're Looking For

*

Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

*

Strong background in electronic systems design and development.

*

Experience working across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements capture through to testing, integration, and final sign-off.

*

Understanding of digital electronics and complex embedded systems.

*

Experience working within regulated, safety-critical, or high-integrity engineering environments.

*

Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.

*

Ability to provide technical guidance and influence engineering direction across multidisciplinary teams.
