Principal Planning Officer
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing complex, large-scale planning applications within the highways sector
Providing expert advice on development management and planning matters
Ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes
Conducting site visits and assessments as necessary
Preparing and presenting detailed reports and recommendations
Managing and mentoring junior planning officers
Monitoring and reviewing planning processes to ensure continuous improvement
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in development management and planning
Proven track record of handling complex, large-scale planning applications
Strong knowledge of planning legislation and policies
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
