Procurement Manager - Fresh Produce / Ambient Salads

We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product categories within the industry, supplying UK Retailers with the best produce from Worldwide Growers.
Due to continued success, we are delighted to offer the opportunity of Procurement Manager to become an integral member of the procurement team, working within a dedicated product category, Ambient Salads and gaining the opportunity to work with an impressive portfolio of Growers.
Responsibilities include;
Support the procurement process to ensure an effective supply chain
Work with logistics & planning to ensure accurate stock information
Manage purchase orders and stock data through the ERP system
Liaise with salad growers to ensure accurate volumes and arrival data
A high level of organisation, accuracy, and a personable & professional approach is required, to accompany confident IT skills, with exposure to ERP systems proving highly beneficial.
Person specification:
* Previous fresh produce procurement experience essential & knowledge of ambient salads
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Numerical competence & strong commercial acumen
* Professional attitude with a keen eye for detail
* Strong sense of responsibility
* Ability to perform competently in a dynamic and pressurised environment
