Procurement Specialist (Indirects) - Fast‑growing, industry‑leading organisation Location: Birmingham (Hybrid, 2-3 days WFH) Role Type: Permanent Category: Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Indirects About the Role This is a fantastic Procurement Specialist opportunity within a business that is highly regarded in its field. This role is ideal for someone with general indirects experience and a solid background in end‑to‑end sourcing who wants to take ownership, contribute to strategic projects, and continue building their career. What You'll Be Doing Category Management & Market Insight Build strong understanding of allocated indirect categories Analyse supplier offerings, market trends, and value opportunities Support development of category strategies and risk mitigation plansEnd‑to‑End Sourcing Lead sourcing activities including market research, RFIs, RFPs/ITTs, evaluation and negotiation Prepare and deliver category strategies to stakeholders Manage contract launches and ensure best‑value outcomesSupplier & Stakeholder Engagement Manage supplier relationships throughout sourcing activity Participate in supplier reviews and assess new solutions Build strong relationships with internal customers at all levelsProject Management Create and manage project plans across multiple categories Deliver high‑quality sourcing outcomes within agreed timelines What We're Looking For Essential: 3 years + end to end procurement experience General indirects and strategic sourcing background Strong negotiation skills Supplier relationship management experience Confident presenter and communicator Proficiency with e‑procurement tools & Microsoft OfficeDesirable: Knowledge of EU procurement directives Understanding of group purchasing models Studying towards or interested in CIPS What's on Offer For the successful candidate this role offers up to £45,000 + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Hybrid working (2-3 days from home) Pension scheme Optional benefits include: Private healthcare Cycle to Work Gym discounts Tech purchase schemes Electric vehicle leasing Option to buy additional holiday Ready to Make an Impact?
