Product Manager
Our client is a London based, fast-growing Series A startup at the intersection of eCommerce and Fintech. The company aims to keep personal service central to the digital shopping experience by enabling elevated Try Before You Buy options for leading fashion retailers globally. Job Description Key Responsibilities It’s Tuesday morning in London. You grab a flat white, walk into a bright office buzzing from yesterday’s sprint review, and your new squad is already huddled around a test that nudged checkout conversion up. By 11am you’re with a luxury brand partner, trading ideas on their next drop. After lunch you’re prioritising a payments experiment that sharpens fraud acceptance (keep more good customers, block fewer false positives). Before logging off, you nudge a workstream taking the product into the US—and peek at a prototype for a Shopify marketplace app. That’s a snapshot of life inside this fast-growing, post-Series A startup I’m currently representing. They operate at the intersection of eCommerce, fintech, and data, redefining digital shopping with an innovative Try Before You Buy model. Today they serve hundreds of thousands of customers; by next year they’ll be serving over a million. It’s the kind of environment where a Product Manager can genuinely leave a mark. Why this role matters True ownership: you’ll lead your own squad from day one (developers, design, QA/ops). Autonomy at the hockey-stick moment: fresh funding secured, leadership backing, freedom to build boldly. Craft + impact: from quick-fire A/B tests and optimisation to ambitious bets in payments, data, and expansion. Industry-defining challenge: shaping experiences with some of the world’s most recognisable fashion brands. What you’ll do Lead a cross-functional squad to deliver high-impact outcomes quickly. Use data and experimentation to drive insight-led decisions. Feed into product strategy with customer and market understanding. Deliver at least one complex, high-leverage initiative in your first year (e.g. US launch, payments/fraud innovation, or marketplace distribution). Communicate progress and trade-offs with clarity and empathy — to engineers, leadership, and fashion brands. Coach others as the team grows. What success looks like after 12 months You’ve raised the game on experimentation and optimisation. Your insights have reshaped the roadmap, not just executed it. You’ve delivered a step-change initiative that gets talked about in board meetings. What they’re looking for 4+ years’ product experience (or adjacent roles in strategy/consulting/product ops). Proven impact in innovative eCommerce (marketplaces, luxury, D2C), fintech/payments, or transferable PM experience with a genuine passion for fashion. Strong analytical skills and hands-on experimentation mindset. Warm communicator who can build credibility with luxury fashion brands. Startup-ready: sleeves up, resilient, thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. The practicals Hybrid London: typically Tues & Wed in-office (Kentish Town), plus occasional brand visits (often Thurs). Comp: £60-75k DOE + meaningful share options (high-upside equity).
