Iβm currently partnering with a well-established and growing UK manufacturer to recruit a Production & Quality Manager for their Lancashire-based operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a specialist industrial environment, where youβll have real influence on production performance, quality standards, and future growth.
π The Opportunity
This is a pivotal position overseeing both production operations and quality systems, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the shop floor while driving improvements across the wider business.
Youβll lead a team of around 12 operatives, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes.
π What Youβll Be Doing
Overseeing day-to-day production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets
Leading, mentoring, and developing production staff
Managing and improving the ISO 9001 quality management system
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
Investigating and resolving production and quality issues
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and company standards
Managing quality inspections, audits, documentation, and reporting
Supporting production planning, scheduling, and operational performance
Collaborating with internal teams to meet customer requirements
Leading and developing training programmes across production
π― What Weβre Looking For
Essential:
βοΈ Proven experience in a production and/or quality management role within manufacturing
βοΈ Strong understanding of production processes and quality systems
βοΈ Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment
βοΈ Confident leadership, communication, and organisational skills
βοΈ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
βοΈ Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
Desirable:
β Experience in polymers, coatings, textiles, or industrial manufacturing
β Knowledge of continuous improvement / lean methodologies
β Engineering or technical manufacturing background
β Experience in production planning and process optimisation
