Production Engineering Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Works Manager / Production Manager / Engineering Manager to join a well-established toolmaking and precision engineering company. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background and experience managing workshop production within a manufacturing environment. This permanent day shift role offers stability, leadership responsibility, and the chance to oversee a skilled engineering team within a modern machining and tooling facility. The Role As Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key responsibilities include: * Managing daily workshop production and engineering operations * Leading and developing a team of engineers and technicians * Ensuring Health & Safety and COSHH compliance * Planning workflow, production schedules, and job priorities * Managing labour, equipment, and materials * Monitoring productivity, output, and quality KPIs * Working closely with senior management to improve operational performance Requirements * Experience as a Works Manager, Production Manager, Engineering Manager, or Workshop Manager * Strong engineering background (essential) * Experience within toolmaking, precision engineering, CNC machining, or manufacturing * Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and COSHH * Experience managing teams within a workshop or production environment * Strong organisational and leadership skills What’s on Offer ✔ Salary up to £60,000 ✔ Permanent day shift role ✔ Stable and growing engineering company ✔ Opportunity to lead and develop a skilled workshop team ✔ Long-term career stability Apply If you are an experienced Works Manager or Engineering Manager looking for a new opportunity within a respected precision engineering company, we would like to hear from you
