Sittingbourne | £12.86 Per Hour

Monday – Friday: 7.30am – 4pm with a half day every Friday!

You’ll be joining a close-knit team within a critical inspection function, where your work directly contributes to the quality and safety of complex engineered components.

THE ROLE

As a Trainee X-Ray Operator, you will be trained in non-destructive testing techniques, working with specialist equipment to inspect components and ensure they meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting radiographic inspection processes using approved techniques

Learning how to interpret and assess inspection results accurately

Identifying defects or irregularities and escalating where required

Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues

Maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards

Ensuring all processes are followed with precision and consistency

Full training will be provided, including working towards industry-recognised NDT certification.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience within a manufacturing or production environment

A technical mindset – engineering, mechanical or quality-based exposure is ideal

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes

Reliable, hardworking and keen to learn

A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in engineering

Any exposure to engineering qualifications (NVQ, BTEC, apprenticeship etc.) would be advantageous but not essential.
