Major Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan WN4.
Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, we are looking for multiple Production Operatives to join a busy, fast paced manufacturing team on a temporary ongoing basis.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured, packed, and prepared to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Packing finished products ready for dispatch
* Labelling products accurately and efficiently
* Preparing raw materials for the production process
* Palletising finished goods safely and securely
* Operating production machinery following full training
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
* Following all health and safety procedures at all times
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
What We're Looking For
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
* Reliability and excellent timekeeping
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training
* Previous production experience is essential
Working Hours
Rotating weekly shifts (Monday to Friday):
* 06:00 – 14:00
* 14:00 – 22:00
* 37.5 hours per week
* Overtime available based on business requirements
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime is paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and double time up to 10pm on a Sunday.
