Production Operative
This is a hands-on production role working within a busy manufacturing environment. You’ll be involved in the final stages of the production process, ensuring finished material is correctly weighed, bagged, sealed, labelled and prepared for storage or despatch.
The role will involve working around production machinery and handling materials, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable in an industrial environment, can follow processes accurately and isn’t afraid of a physical day’s work.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Flexibility: Must be available to work 12-hour shifts during busy/peak periods
Day-to-day duties will include:
Operating and monitoring bagging/packing equipment
Filling bags with finished product to the required weights
Weighing, sealing and labelling finished bags
Checking products meet the required quality standards
Preparing finished goods for storage and despatch
Moving raw materials and finished products around the production area
Supporting with loading/unloading and general material handling
Monitoring stock and reporting any shortages or issues
Keeping production and bagging areas clean and organised
Following strict Health & Safety and manufacturing procedures
Assisting other areas of production when required
Skills:
Previous production, manufacturing, bagging or warehouse experience would be beneficial
Comfortable working in a physical, industrial environment
Able to follow instructions and production processes accurately
Good attention to detail, particularly when weighing and labelling products
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Happy working as part of a production team
Flexible to work 12-hour shifts during peak periods when required
