Apply NowWe are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client in a busy manufacturing environment based in Rainham, Essex.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fine grinding components to single-micron tolerances, ensuring all work meets the required quality and specification standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Loading and operating machinery
* Setting tools, including deburring tools, reamers and grinding wheels
* Measuring finished components accurately against specifications
* Recording measurements using computerised SPC systems
* Monitoring OEE and production performance
* Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
* Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 1–2 years’ relevant manufacturing / Production experience
* Experience working to close tolerances
* Previous machining, grinding or precision manufacturing experience is desirable
* Computer literate and comfortable using computerised systems
* Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Well organised and able to work effectively under pressure
* Strong understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
Working Hours & Pay
£14.30 per hour
Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern (You must be available for all 3 shift patterns)
* 06:00–14:00
* 14:00–22:00
* 22:00–06:00
