Apply NowWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our team in a busy steel manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating overhead cranes safely and efficiently (valid overhead crane experience/certification required).
* Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) to move steel products and materials.
* Loading, unloading, and transporting steel throughout the production facility.
* Handling steel products using appropriate lifting equipment and following safe working practices.
* Assisting with production processes to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
* Carrying out quality checks and reporting any defects.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
* Following all company health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
* Experience operating an overhead crane.
* Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
* Experience in material handling and moving heavy steel products.
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
* Experience working to production targets.
* Flexible approach to shifts and overtime where required.
