Production Operator (Plating)

Purpose of Role

Responsible for producing products against designs and to quality standards

Reporting To

Team Leader precious metal

Working pattern

Standard working hours, Monday to Friday

37 hours per week

Once fully trained 2 shift rotation would be required (early/back shift)

Location

Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating manual chemical plating lines as required in various coatings including Zinc, Zinc-nickel, Electroless nickel, Gold and Silver

* Monitor production tanks by analysis and make chemical additions as required.

* Carry out X-ray testing for thickness of various coatings

* Filling our Job cards with all relevant details of process carried out

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Educated to standard grade level

Demonstrable examples of dexterity

Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable)

Must be health & safety conscious

Plating experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Rate: £15.24 per hour

Shift Premuims

Early / Back

10% - £16.76 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am to 1pm

37 hours per week

Regular Overtime available at enhanced rates - x 1.5 and x 2 on Sundays
