Production Supervisor
Working hours: Day shift (Early finish on a Friday)
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations within our client's manufacturing facility. In this pivotal leadership position, you will oversee Team Leaders, serve as the primary link between shop‑floor teams and senior management, and ensure all production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational plans.
This opportunity is well-suited to a people‑centric leader with experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication-someone who can inspire teams, resolve issues swiftly, and drive performance through strong coaching, communication, and organisational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Set clear performance goals and deadlines in line with business plans and company vision.
Manage and coordinate workflow across teams, ensuring duties and responsibilities are clearly understood.
Monitor productivity, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to improve performance.
Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues professionally and promptly.
Maintain accurate timekeeping and personnel records.
Communicate effectively between senior management and shop-floor teams.
Prepare and present daily performance and KPI reports at morning reviews.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
Ensure full compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and disciplinary procedures.
Enforce all Health & Safety standards and best practices.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Group Leader, Supervisor, or similar role within manufacturing.
Strong understanding of metal fabrication environments, including relevant regulations and procedures.
Confident and capable people manager with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
Proficient in MS Office.
A qualification in First Line Management or a related field would be advantageous.
What's on Offer
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum + overtime and bonus
Hours: 35 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm
