Production Technician - Cable Assemblies

ASL Technical are recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing and engineering client for an experienced Production Operator to support ongoing workload on a 3-month ongoing contract very likely to be throughout 2026. The Role You will produce high-quality cable assemblies, meeting or exceeding IPC-620 Class 2 standards and customer requirements, following detailed work instructions. Key Responsibilities Build cable assemblies to IPC-620 Class 2 standards Cable cutting and wire preparation Hand and automated crimping Hand soldering and tinning bath soldering Connector assembly, labelling, heat shrink, lacing/binding, and potting Self-inspection prior to QA Maintain a clean and safe work environment Support continuous improvement Report process, quality, or material issues Skills & Experience We are looking for people with soldering, crimping and cable assembly or repair experience. The role could suit someone with PCB soldering repair experience or crimping experience as some training and development can be offered. Previous experience in cable or electromechanical assembly preferable.
