An established and growing manufacturer of high-precision scientific instrumentation is seeking a Production Technician to join its production team. The Position
As a Production Technician, you will support the assembly and preparation of components used in complex instrumentation. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality.
You will be responsible for carrying out production tasks efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and preparing components prior to assembly
Building wiring looms and mechanical sub-assemblies to specification
Following standard operating procedures and engineering instructions
Completing tasks accurately and within agreed timescales
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
Using tools and equipment correctly, reporting any issues as needed
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating with team members to meet production targets
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
Ability to follow written and technical instructions
Good manual dexterity
Effective time management skills
Commitment to health, safety, and organisation in the workplaceDesirable:
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or assembly
Knowledge of electrical wiring or mechanical assembly
Experience working in a clean or controlled environment
Understanding of quality standards and procedures
