Project Director Hyperscale Data Centre Development | Helsinki, Finland €130,000 - €160,000 + Rotation (Mon-Thurs On Site) Executive Appointment - Mission Critical Digital Infrastructure We are appointing a Project Director to lead the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre development in Helsinki. The programme is entering detailed design and pre-construction, progressing into full construction and commissioning phases. This is a capital-intensive, MEP-led mission critical project requiring executive-level oversight from concept through operational handover. You will not inherit a stabilised site. You will shape, govern and deliver it. Accountability As Project Director, you will hold full responsibility for: Design governance and technical assurance Construction delivery strategy and sequencing Capital expenditure control and commercial performance Contractor and consultant leadership Programme risk and mitigation strategy Executive reporting and stakeholder alignment This is an end-to-end data centre construction leadership role with authority across design development, build execution and commissioning readiness. You will be accountable for outcome, not activity. The Profile Required We are seeking individuals who have: Delivered hyperscale or Tier III / Tier IV data centre construction programmes Led complex MEP infrastructure projects valued at €100m+ Managed multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams Held commercial accountability across major mission critical builds Operated at Project Director or senior programme leadership level Experience across early-stage design and live construction environments is essential. This is not a site manager role. This is not a design coordination post. This is a strategic data centre delivery leadership appointment. Strategic Context Finland continues to expand as a core European location for digital infrastructure investment due to renewable power capacity, stable grid infrastructure and hyperscale demand. The client holds a wider Nordic pipeline, offering visibility beyond this initial phase. This appointment carries long-term programme influence.
