Role Overview As a Project Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between design and delivery. You will support all project stages—from initial costing and tendering to on-site execution—collaborating closely with site teams, mechanical fitters, and Project Managers to ensure high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities * Technical Delivery: Provide engineering input to ensure efficient, solution-focused project outcomes. * Safety & Compliance: Maintain a "zero-compromise" approach to H&S, ensuring all works meet company, client, and industry standards. * Documentation: Assist in creating Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), Construction Phase Plans, and project programmes. * Project Lifecycle: Provide design input, support design reviews, and manage the procurement of materials and subcontractors. * Site Management: Manage permits to work (including client isolation permits) and conduct regular site inspections to promote QEHS standards. * Commercial Support: Support the tendering process and obtain competitive quotations from key suppliers. * Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain professional and effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements * Qualifications: A formal Mechanical Engineering qualification is required. * Experience: Proven experience working in on-site operational environments. Experience within the water industry is highly preferred but not essential. * Project Skills: Ability to define project scopes, develop schedules, and manage engineering processes. * Leadership: Strong ability to manage, motivate, and lead site teams effectively. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and internal reporting. Additional Criteria * Full UK Driving Licence (Essential). * Valid Right to Work in the UK on a permanent basis
