Apply NowA public sector organisation is looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join their commercial property team on an interim basis. You’ll work on refurbishment and capital improvement projects across a variety of council buildings, managing multiple smaller-scale schemes at once.
What you’ll do:
* Inspect buildings and plan remedial works
* Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and project briefs
* Supervise contractors and manage budgets on site
* Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance
* Work closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
* Building Surveying qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree)
* Experience in refurbishment, maintenance, or public sector projects
* Knowledge of JCT contracts
* MRICS preferred but not essential
* Able to juggle multiple projects efficiently
* Experience across commercial portfolios
