Project Manager

A great opportunity for a Project Manager is available to join a reputable Main Construction Contractor. The role will be based near Tayside and you will be responsible for a number of site staff whilst making sure that projects are successfully delivered. We are looking for a Project Manager who can demonstrate experience overseeing large scale projects whilst displaying the ability to guide, manage and motivate others.

Responsibilities:

* Liaising regularly with the Management Teams.

* Oversee project progress and cost control whilst managing the site team/ sub-contractors.

* Participate and lead meetings including weekly contract meetings, reviews, pre-start, technical and progress meetings.

* Promote health and safety practices.

* Mentor and train staff where required.

* Develop tender programme into a construction programme and determine appropriate construction methods.

* Identify and resolve any construction problems.

* Carry out and oversee site inspections daily.

* Interact with public authorities, local authorities and NHBC, ensuring relevant orders are placed.

* Investigate any delays or accidents, ensuring correct procedures are carried out.

* Make sure labour and materials for site are overseen.

Essential:

* Demonstrable Project Management experience (or similar) within the construction industry.

* CSCS Card

* Exceptional communication and motivational skills.

* Strong drive to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

* Degree relating to Construction, Engineering or similar.

* SMSTS

* First Aid

* Management qualification.

* RAMS qualification.
