Copello have partnered with an established engineering business based in Hampshire, in the recruitment of a Project Manager on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. Role Responsibilities: * Project Leadership – Lead assigned projects from initiation to delivery, managing scope, schedule, resources, and costs. * End-to-End Delivery – Ensure successful project planning, budgeting, execution, change management, and transition into business-as-usual. * Cross-Functional Team Leadership – Lead Integrated Bid and Project Teams from bid stage through to operational handover. * Project Governance – Maintain alignment with organisational strategy and contractual scope, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. * Risk & Change Management – Identify and manage risks, issues, and changes to keep projects on track and aligned with objectives. * Stakeholder & Communication Management – Drive effective communication across internal teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels. * Commercial & Supply Chain Collaboration – Work with commercial teams to establish contracts, define work packages, and manage deliverables. * Financial Oversight & Reporting – Own project budgets and authorise expenditure, ensuring timely reporting on progress, risks, and performance outcomes. Key Requirements: * Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, PRINCE2). * Minimum 3 years’ experience leading complex projects with strong delivery track record. * Experience working with UK Ministry of Defence, preferably MOD or DE&S. * Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills with customers and suppliers. * Proven ability to integrate and deliver complex, fixed-price projects. * Deep understanding of project management methodologies and continuous improvement practices. * Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills. * High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving approach. Desirable: * Background in Military Aviation or Air Traffic Management. * Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean or other project methodologies. * Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
