Project Planner

Job Title: Project Planner Location: Essex Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 Job Type: Permanent Overview We are looking for a Project Planner to support the project management team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project plans across a portfolio of engineering projects. This role will involve coordinating with project teams to ensure project schedules, resources, and reporting remain aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and update project plans across multiple projects * Conduct regular reviews with operations and project management teams * Create draft project plans at project kick-off * Maintain project templates and resource profiles * Analyse data from previous projects to improve future project planning * Produce project reports and KPIs at project and programme level * Maintain the configuration and data integrity of the project planning system * Support improvements and migration of project planning systems Requirements * Advanced user of MS Project, Project Online or Project Server * Proven experience creating and maintaining project plans * Experience working in a multi-project environment * Engineering qualification or engineering background * Understanding of project management systems and how they integrate with business software (e.g. ERP systems) Desirable * Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments * Exposure to complex or long-duration projects * Understanding of critical chain project management This is a great opportunity for a Project Planner to join a growing engineering environment, working closely with project teams and playing a key role in delivering complex projects successfully
