Design and build backend components for risk engines, analytics pipelines, and end‑of‑day processing.

Develop high‑performance Python services for modelling, calculations, and data transformation.

Enhance and maintain internal risk platforms aligned with industry frameworks and regulatory expectations.

Collaborate closely with risk SMEs, quants, and technical BAs to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Optimise computation‑heavy workloads and ensure accuracy, stability, and auditability of risk outputs.

Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design reviews.
Core Skills & Experience
*
Expert Python development, particularly in backend and data‑processing contexts.
*
Proven experience building computation‑heavy or risk‑calculation systems.
*
Strong understanding of market risk, credit risk, capital, or liquidity concepts.
*
Experience working on enterprise risk platforms (internal or vendor‑style frameworks).
*
Familiarity with regulatory drivers influencing risk technology (e.g., Basel, PRA, CRR).
*
Comfortable working in environments that are not heavily cloud‑native; experience with on‑prem or hybrid architectures.
Preferred Attributes

Ability to work in fast‑moving regulatory or remediation programmes.
*
Strong communication skills and ability to partner with risk and technology stakeholders.

Experience in financial‑services environments with high data‑quality and control expectations
