Job Title: Qualified Primary Teacher (SEN School) – Full Time Location: Kings Heath Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a passionate, fully qualified Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team at our SEN school. This is a full-time position for an experienced professional who has previously worked within Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings and is confident in delivering high-quality, inclusive education tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the primary curriculum. * Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties. * Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals. * Monitor, assess, and report on student progress. * Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment. Essential Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. * Proven experience working within SEN schools or specialist provisions. * Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices. * Excellent classroom management skills. * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable Skills * Experience working with EHCPs. * Training in behaviour management approaches (e.g., Team Teach). * Experience with alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton).
