Pay Rate: £160-£210

About the role:

We are working with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Walsall who are looking for an inspiring Qualified English Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring English to life in the classroom and help students develop a real love for reading, writing and discussion.

The school is seeking a teacher who can engage, challenge and motivate learners across KS3 and KS4. You will be delivering creative and dynamic lessons that spark curiosity while maintaining strong expectations around behaviour and achievement. This is a role where your personality, passion and presence in the classroom will make a real difference every day.

Job Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English

Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 curriculum

Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

Confident and consistent behaviour management skills

Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)

Commitment to raising attainment and inspiring a love of English

Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to classroom practice

Passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
