Quality Engineer

Kingston Barnes has a fantastic opportunity for a high-performing and enthusiastic Quality and Manufacturing Engineer working within a small specialist team on multiple projects to improve and sustain existing products and ensure the products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and manufacturability. The Role: You will be responsible for managing all key quality control activities including final quality checks, quality inspection, first article inspection, and non-conformances alongside providing hands-on manufacturing engineering support. You will ensure that new and existing designs and production ready, processes are strong, and issues are contained and resolved. Specific tasks include: * Lead the company’s quality strategy, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements. * Monitor quality performance, lead root cause investigations, and drive corrective and preventative actions. * Oversee quality processes including inbound inspection, First Article Inspection (FAI), and final quality checks. * Manage customer complaints, RMAs, and warranty investigations to ensure timely resolution. * Define and manage supplier quality standards, including supplier NCRs and corrective actions. * Support new product introduction, design reviews, DFMEA activities, and prototype builds. * Develop work instructions and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. * Support outsourcing and external manufacturing partners where required. The Candidate: * Proven experience in a Quality and/or Mechanical Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. * Strong knowledge of quality management methods and continuous improvement practices. * Ability to review designs for manufacturability and participate in DFMEA activities. * Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to solving problems and delivering value. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams. * Highly organised, detail-oriented, and accountable for delivering results. * Proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Engineering qualifications desirable Benefits: * £45,000 - £50,000 per annum * Early finish Friday * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company Sick pay * Bonus scheme If you are interested please call Josh Hoyle on (phone number removed) or apply online * Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position
