Are you an experienced Quality Manager looking to work for an exciting business within an automotive industry to develop and promote quality standards across the board? Impact are partnered with an Engineering business who pride themselves on delivering high end products across the globe to find an ambitious and determined Quality Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be a hands on position working closely with Quality Inspectors and Design teams to improve Quality standards across the business. You will be in the luxury position of working closely with the Operations Manager who has developed from a Quality background. Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Location: Northampton Pay: £60,000 + annual bonus Reporting to: Operations Manager Responsibilities: Work closely with quality inspectors to investigate and mitigate quality issues Liaise with design teams to understand quality issues and implement changes Speak regularly with customers and deal with any quality standards Contact and update suppliers regarding requirements Ensure all in-house systems and procedures are kept up to date and improved Develop metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement Report details to the wider management team and represent the department Stay up to date on changes that may affect supply and demand of products and materials Lead regular meetings with the quality teamTeam: Report to the Operations Manager Support Quality Inspectors Work closely with the design teamRequired Skills: Understanding of engineering and technical information Strong people management skills and leadership Able to work to deadlines and under pressure Strong problem solving skills and able to make decisions Must be able to think strategically Negotiation and influencing skillsRequired Qualifications & Experience: Knowledge ISO9001 Knowledge of AS9100 would be an advantage Experience from Aerospace or Automotive Manufacturing Must have a strong understanding of audit and compliance Key planning and organisational skills Excellent relationship building and leadership skills Must be IT literateIf you are ready to take the lead in developing Quality processes and support a business develop its standards, then please apply with an up to date CV.
