Quality Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to join a growing SME manufacturing business in Oldbury that supplies precision components to both the Automotive and Aerospace sectors. This role offers genuine autonomy within a flat organisational structure, allowing the successful candidate to make an immediate impact. It would suit either a Senior Quality Engineer ready to step into management or an experienced Quality Manager looking for a role where they can take ownership of the quality function and drive improvements across the business. Key Responsibilities * Maintaining, monitoring and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) * Managing day-to-day quality activities including problem solving using 8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis and PPAP * Leading and supporting internal, customer and third-party audits * Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS9100 standards * Managing customer quality relationships across Automotive and Aerospace clients * Monitoring and reporting quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives * Mentoring and developing junior members of the quality team * Supporting wider business improvement and operational excellence initiatives Candidate Requirements * Proven experience in Quality Management within Automotive, Aerospace, or precision engineering manufacturing * Strong knowledge of QMS systems and industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and/or AS9100) * Experience managing customer audits and supplier quality issues * Strong problem-solving capability and experience with structured quality tools * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills For fulfilling the role of Quality Manager, our client can offer a competitive salary of up to £70,000 along with reasonable job security and a supportive senior management team.
