We are working with a leading Scottish civil engineering and infrastructure contractor who is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a significant energy infrastructure project on the Isle of Skye.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing project team, working on an important infrastructure development that will contribute to strengthening Scotland's electricity network and supporting the transition towards renewable energy.
Interest
Based from the contractor's office in the north of Scotland, you will play an important role in the commercial management and financial control of the project, working closely with the wider project delivery team.
The project forms part of wider investment in Scotland's electricity transmission infrastructure, with works on Skye contributing to the reinforcement of the network and its capacity to support future energy demands.
While the role will primarily be office-based in the north of Scotland, there will be occasional requirements to visit site as the project progresses.

Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
Working closely with the operational team to ensure commercial targets and project objectives are achieved.
Maintaining accurate commercial records and providing regular financial reporting.
What we're looking for:
Approximately 4–5 years' experience working in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction or civil engineering industry.
Previous experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
A good understanding of NEC3 contract conditions and commercial administration.
Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and project costs.
Strong commercial awareness, communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work effectively alongside operational and commercial teams.
Particularly advantageous:
Previous experience working on substation, power or energy infrastructure projects.
Experience working within the electricity transmission or utilities sectors.
A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
