Quantity Surveyor - Water AMP8

Location: London (Flexible Hybrid)

Work Type: Permanent

Join a leading UK infrastructure and water‑sector delivery partner within their Commercial team. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial management of major projects, contributing to cost control, financial reporting, and contractual administration across assigned works.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in delivering quantity surveying duties across projects and work packages.
Liaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyse, and manage project costs.
Work collaboratively with the client to help ensure commercial and project requirements are met.
Support the administration of the main contract, including identification and issuance of contractual notices and correspondence.
Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and compliance.
Prepare applications for payment and support agreement of valuations.
Contribute to accurate project cost and value reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Support continuous professional development through industry engagement and awareness of sector innovation.
Foster a collaborative, solution‑focused working environment and maintain effective working relationships.
Carry out additional duties as reasonably required and appropriate to the role.
Present a professional and positive image in all internal and external interactions.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction, infrastructure, water, or a related sector.
Sound understanding of contract administration and core commercial processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage costs and contribute to accurate reporting.
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with satakeholders and the supply chain.
Proactive, collaborative, and committed to professional development and continuous improvement.
