Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: North East
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction team.
Working across a wide range of construction projects and sectors, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong financial control and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial performance of multiple construction projects.
* Prepare and manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts.
* Monitor project costs, forecasts, cash flow and profitability.
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
* Review contracts and provide commercial advice to the project team.
* Work closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Provide clear commercial reporting to senior management.
About You
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of contracts, cost management and commercial processes.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Commercially driven with strong attention to detail.
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Relevant QS qualification or significant industry experience.
