Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
Administration and management of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
Management of compensation events and change control through CEMAR
Commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
Preparation of valuations, forecasts, cost reports and commercial dashboards
Management of subcontractor performance, payments and commercial risk
Identification and mitigation of commercial risks and opportunities
Support project delivery teams with commercial advice and contract administration
Develop strong client and stakeholder relationships within the framework
For Senior Quantity Surveyors, provide guidance and leadership to commercial teams of approximately 2-6 people
Requirements:
Essential:
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, construction, civil engineering or major projects
Good working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
Experience using CEMAR or similar contract administration systems
Experience managing subcontract packages and commercial reporting
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Desirable:
Experience within nuclear, defence, utilities, energy or other regulated sectors
Previous team leadership or mentoring experience
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Progress towards or membership of RICS or equivalent professional body
