RE Teacher in a Secondary School based close to the Portsmouth Area Starting ASAP  Pay – £150 - £230 Location –Portsmouth Area Hours - 8:00am – 4:00pm Temporary full-time Position: Religious Education (RE) Teacher Location: Portsmouth Area Overview: Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a Secondary School based in the Portsmouth area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract. The role would be starting September on a  long term contract until at least July 26. The successful candidate will be teaching RE to students in KS3 and KS4, working in a supportive department. The School will consider non-specialist RE teachers for this role with experience teaching RE in Secondary Schools. Responsibilities: -          Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Religious Education, catering to different learning styles and abilities. -          Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking. -          Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed. -          Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and contribute to the overall improvement of the department. About the School: The school is based in Portsmouth and is mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 900 students in total. The school has a keen interest in promoting the learning of multiple languages in its students, as well as creating a friendly and enthusiastic environment through all aspects of teaching. Qualifications and Requirements: -          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. -          Specialisation or degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field. -          Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally 5. -          Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and motivate students. -          A genuine passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
