Are you an experienced EYFS teacher with a passion for early learning and a proven track record in Reception?
We are currently working with a welcoming, supportive primary school in Bootle who are seeking a confident and experienced Reception Class Teacher to join their team on a long‑term maternity cover, starting after May half term – 1st June 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a well‑established EYFS setting where children are at the heart of everything the school does.
🌟 The Role
* Full responsibility for a Reception class
* Delivering engaging, play‑based learning in line with the EYFS Framework
* Supporting children’s early development across communication, language, literacy and maths
* Making accurate observations and assessments to inform next steps
* Working collaboratively with an experienced EYFS team and support staff
* Creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
✅ The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has recent experience teaching Reception
* Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework
* Confident in phonics, early reading and early numeracy
* Passionate about child‑centred, play‑based learning
* Organised, reflective and committed to high standards
* Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
