Reception Teacher (EYFS)

Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: September 2026 or Start As Soon As Possible
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Ealing is looking to appoint a passionate and imaginative Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a Reception class and play a key role in shaping children’s first experiences of school in a setting that values creativity, curiosity and care above all else.

About the Role

As a Reception Teacher, you will:

* Take responsibility for a Reception class and deliver high-quality EYFS teaching

* Plan and facilitate purposeful, play-based learning experiences that promote curiosity and independence

* Create an engaging classroom environment that supports exploration through continuous provision

* Develop children’s early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills

* Support strong foundations in personal, social and emotional development

* Observe, assess and respond to children’s learning using effective EYFS assessment strategies

* Work closely with Teaching Assistants to enhance provision and outcomes

* Build strong relationships with parents to support transition into school life

* Contribute to the wider Early Years team, sharing ideas and good practice

What We’re Looking For

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Reception teaching

* Ability to create an engaging, well-structured and nurturing classroom

* A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning

* Strong communication skills with pupils, staff and families

* A genuine passion for Early Years education

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
