Are you passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic Recovery Champion to join our team in Southend-on-Sea, working full time (35 hours per week). You’ll work closely with the STARS recovery community, BRIC Coordinator and wider Southend team to provide person-centred recovery support and help people achieve their goals.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, using both harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches to support people throughout their recovery journey.
What you’ll be doing:
* Manage a small caseload of recovery support clients
* Provide recovery advice, guidance and harm reduction support
* Complete assessments, care plans and 1:1 interventions
* Facilitate recovery support groups and Welcome PODs
* Deliver lived experience workshops and support service-user involvement
* Develop links with local recovery communities and partner agencies
* Support clients to access services including housing, benefits, training and employment
* Work collaboratively with services including Probation to provide joined-up support
What we’re looking for:
* An enthusiastic, empathetic and approachable individual
* A good understanding of professional boundaries
* Experience of recovery and/or the local recovery community
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A person-centred and non-judgemental approach
* Someone who is organised, proactive and committed to supporting positive outcomes
