Recycling Operatives

We are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced recycling facility in Whittle-Le-Woods. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who enjoy practical work, are comfortable working in an outdoor/industrial environment, and want to contribute to a business focused on sustainability and waste reduction. The Role As a Recycling Operative, you will support the day-to-day operations of the recycling plant, helping ensure materials are processed efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out general labouring and groundwork duties around the plant * Picking and separating waste materials from a conveyor belt * Assisting with site maintenance and keeping work areas clean and organised * Supporting plant operatives with the movement of materials and basic site setup * Completing general site preparation tasks including shovelling, sweeping, and manual handling * Working safely in close proximity to heavy machinery * Following all health and safety procedures at all times This is a physically demanding role within an outdoor/industrial environment, and candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience in recycling, labouring, groundworks, or similar outdoor/industrial roles (preferred but not essential) * A strong work ethic and positive attitude towards practical work * The ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team * Good physical fitness and comfort with manual handling tasks * Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail * A safety-conscious approach when working around machinery and equipment What’s on Offer * Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday * Two Fixed Shifts Available: * 7:00am – 4:00pm * 2:00pm – 10:00pm * Flexibility: While shifts are fixed, candidates who are able to work across both shifts when required will be viewed favourably * Contract: Temporary-to-permanent opportunity * Stability: Long-term opportunity with a company focused on environmental responsibility and sustainable operations Multitask Recruitment Solutions is an equal opportunities employer.
