Refrigeration Engineer (Progression Into Chillers / Critical Cooling) – Training Provided Location: UK Nationwide (Field-Based) Salary: DOE + Door-to-Door Travel + Overtime + Standby (OTE £70K+) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Overview A global manufacturer of HVAC, Chillers and Refrigeration Systems is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking to progress into Chiller Engineering and Critical Cooling. This position offers manufacturer training, including technical development at the European training centre in Venice, Italy. Ideal for engineers wanting to step into data centre cooling, industrial chillers, and mission-critical HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems Train into working on chillers, process cooling and large HVAC plant Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults Work within data centres, industrial facilities and critical cooling environments Integrate, troubleshoot and optimise BMS / controls / PLC systems Perform PPM (planned maintenance) and reactive breakdown response Produce detailed service reports and technical documentation Provide technical support and customer guidance on refrigeration and cooling systems Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Refrigeration Engineer Strong understanding of the refrigeration cycle and system components Experience with commercial refrigeration, pack systems, cold rooms, or split systems F‑Gas Category 1 certification Confident mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Full UK driving licence Desirable CO₂ or ammonia refrigeration experience Any exposure to chillers, VRV/VRF, or industrial cooling plant Experience in critical settings (data centres, pharma, food production, hospitals etc.) Package & Benefits Competitive salary (DOE) Door‑to‑door travel paid Overtime + standby allowance (OTE £70K+) Company van, tools, uniform & phone Full manufacturer training in Venice, Italy Structured development pathway into Chiller Engineer / Critical Cooling Specialist 20 days holiday + bank holidays Why This Role?
