About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Account Director to join a growing Facilities Management operation.

This senior role is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and commercial success of multiple FM contracts across a regional portfolio. You will act as the senior escalation point for clients and internal teams, set clear standards and ways of working, and ensure contracts are delivered safely, compliantly, and profitably.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in driving service excellence, financial performance, and sustainable growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

Provide strong, visible leadership aligned to company values
Drive ownership, accountability, and right‑first‑time delivery
Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers and operational teams
Act as the senior escalation point for operational, commercial, and client issuesOperational Delivery

Ensure all contracts meet SLA, KPI, and statutory compliance requirements
Embed and enforce standard operating procedures across all service lines
Maintain control of work order lifecycle management, engineer productivity, and PPM compliance
Drive improvements in service consistency, quality, and response timesCommercial & Financial Performance

Full P&L ownership for the regional portfolio
Deliver against revenue, margin, cost control, WIP, and aged debt targets
Identify and implement opportunities for contract growth, additional services, and project work
Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and strong financial governanceClient Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders
Lead structured client reviews using clear, data‑driven performance insights
Proactively manage client expectations to support retention and contract renewalsCompliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, contractual obligations, and company policies
Maintain a zero‑tolerance approach to compliance failures
Ensure statutory tasks are completed, evidenced, and certified within required timeframes
Maintain effective audit and assurance processesPeople & Resource Management

Ensure contracts are resourced with competent, trained, high‑performing teams
Implement effective workforce and succession planning
Balance resources to manage peaks, troughs, and emergency response requirements
Hold teams accountable through clear KPIs and performance managementProcess & Continuous Improvement

Drive continuous improvement across operational processes, systems, and reporting
Ensure consistent use of CAFM and best‑practice workflows from job creation to billing
Improve efficiency, data quality, and reporting accuracy through standardisation and collaborationBusiness Development & Growth

Support new business opportunities including solution development and mobilisation planning
Contribute to tender submissions, ensuring operational credibility and deliverability
Identify opportunities within existing contracts to expand service scope

About You

Qualifications

Engineering qualification (HND or above preferred)
Health & Safety qualification desirableExperience

Proven experience in a senior FM leadership role (Account Director or equivalent)
Strong hard services FM background
Experience managing multi‑site, multi‑contract portfolios
Demonstrated ability to deliver strong financial and operational performanceSkills & Competencies

Strong leadership and influencing skills
Commercially aware with excellent financial acumen

Additional Requirements

Regional travel required
